Soooooo, if trunks got his sword from tapion in wrath of the dragon, then how did furture trunks get his sword if none of that happened?

Posts: 97 Group: Suspended Member #5,060 Joined: July 24, 2010 Favourite Anime DBZ	Maybe it did happen in Future Trunk's timeline but since they had no Z Fighters left they decided to outsmart Hirudegarn instead of fighting it head on. My guess is Trunks distracted the dragon long enough for Taipon to seal him away, kind of like how he tried to do in the present timeline before he failed and Goku ended up taking all of the glory.

Trunks's power is the reason why it was able to cut Frieza. Another example of this is when Goku is shown putting power into his finger before using it to block all of Trunks's sword hits. So yes, Trunks (or pretty much any Z-fighter) could put some of their energy into anything and use it as a weapon.
